Working mommies unite! All of us know the struggle is real. From juggling schedules to pumping milk or mixing formula to racing against traffic to make it to that meeting or to pick up our precious little one before we are dinged $50 for being late, being a working mommy can feel like a circus (which is a nice way of saying it can feel pretty sh*tty).
To help you get through those tough moments, here are 3 tips for every working mommy. And if you have your own to share, PLEASE DO! We are all in this together! Enjoy 🙂
1. Get dressed AFTER the baby has eaten. I learned this the hard way. I thought I was being so on top of things and such a go-getter by waking up early to do my hair and makeup and get dressed before the Little Yankee woke up. NOPE! Instead, I had to redo everything (ha! totes did not redo my hair or makeup) after my little darling spilled applesauce on himself, the table, the dog, and me.
2. If at all possible, buy two car seats. So I must admit that I have not followed my own advice on this one but there has definitely been more than one occasion where I have wished that I had. Learn from my mistakes! When you are juggling three or more schedules, something is bound to happen or you are bound to forget something or someone is bound to run late. There is nothing worse than realizing you need your husband’s car, or he needs yours, 10 minutes after one of you was supposed to be somewhere.
3. Allow multi-tasking to take on new meaning. Pray your rosary in the car going from drop-off to the office. Do the laundry the night before, but fold it in the morning. Feel free to do your makeup in the bathroom at the office. Whatever makes your day easier, DO IT. No matter how out of the ordinary it may seem.
And never forget… you got this!
